Recipe Ingredients for Whole-Wheat Apple Cookies

1/2 cup whole-wheat flour (20080)
1/2 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/4 cup sugar
1 g (1 packet) Splenda
2 tbsp vegetable oil (4044)
1 egg white
1 cup apple, finely chopped (9004)
1/3 cup walnuts, finely chopped (12155)

Recipe Directions for Whole-Wheat Apple Cookies

  1. Sift flour, soda, and spices together.

  2. Stir in sugar, artificial sweetener, oil and egg.

  3. Fold in apple and nuts.

  4. Baking Method: Drop the rounded teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet sprayed with nonstick cooking spray. Bake at 375 degrees F for 10 minutes or until lightly browned.

  5. Microwave Method: Arrange 8 cookies in a circle on microwave safe pan. (You can turn a casserole upside down.) Cook on High for 2 minutes. Serve warm.
