Recipe Ingredients for Whole-Grain Rice Pilaf

0.67 serving Extra Virgin Olive Oil
118 grams Whole Wheat Spaghetti
0.33 cup, chopped Onions
14 oz Chicken Broth
1 cup Brown Rice
0.25 tsp Salt, Table
15 grams Fresh Frozen Chopped Parsley

Recipe Directions for Whole-Grain Rice Pilaf

  1. Heat oil in saucepan over medium-high heat.

  2. Add pasta (broken up) and onion (chopped fine) until starting to brown.

  3. Add broth, rice, salt, and bay leaf, bring to a boil.

  4. Reduce heat to low, cover and cook until liquid is absorbed and rice is tender(about 10-12 minutes).

  5. Let stand for 5 minutes, discard bay leaf, fluff with fork, and stir in parsley.
