Super delicious hearty pancakes. You can use any combination of grains you like.

Recipe Ingredients for Whole Grain pancakes

0.5 cup Barley, Pearled
0.5 cup dry Steel Cut Oats
1 serving Buttermilk
2 large egg Eggland's Best Egg
1 1tsp Vegetable Oil, Canola
5 grams Vanilla Extract
1 tsp Cinnamon, Ground
1.25 teaspoon Baking Powder
0.25 teaspoon Baking Soda
0.5 tsp Sea Salt
0.25 cup Whole Milk

Recipe Directions for Whole Grain pancakes

  1. The night before, place the grains, buttermilk, vanilla, and oil in the blender. Blend for 3 minutes to make a paste.

  2. The next day, add all other ingredients except for the milk and blend.

  3. While still blending, drizzle in the milk a little at a time, until a hole opens up in the batter that goes all the way down to the blender blade. This is how you get the consistency of the batter correct. Do not add milk beyond this point.

  4. Cook the pancakes with a little oil.
