This recipe calls for grinding your own wheat. So you would need a wheat grinder. You can replace the hard Red Winter wheat with Bread Flour and Cake flour for the White Winter Wheat.

Recipe Ingredients for Whole grain cookies

8 1/2 oz hard red winter wheat
8 1/2 oz hard white winter wheat
1 1/4 t baking soda
1 1/2 t baking powder
1 1/2 t salt
2 1/2 stick unsalted butter, room temp
10 oz light brown sugar
8 oz granulated sugar
2 large eggs
2 t vanilla
12 oz milk chocolate

Recipe Directions for Whole grain cookies

  1. Preheat 350

  2. Grind your wheat. Combine it with the baking soda, baking powder and salt. Cream Butter Sugars and Vanilla. Add eggs one at a time. Add Dry to your batter. Mix in chocolate. You can add anything else you want to.....mmmmm Like Nuts, rains, a little oatmeal, coconut, dates, Dry cranberries.... I do think I could go on for ever.

  3. scoop out about a 35 gram ball.

  4. Bake at 350

  5. For 13 min Cool and eat.

  6. You can put them in the freezer and eat them frozen very good.
