Banana Bread....sounds healthy, but I just found out...not so much. :(

Recipe Ingredients for whole grain banana bread

1/3 cup unsalted butter
1/4 cup honey
1/8 cup splenda brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 eggs
1/2 cup mashed banana
1 3/4 cup white whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 cup water
1/2 cup chocolate chip

Recipe Directions for whole grain banana bread

  1. preheat oven to 325

  2. light grease 9x5 pan

  3. combine flour, cinnamon, and salt in a bowl; set aside

  4. In another large bowl, combine butter, honey, and sugar and beat 2 minutes. Add the eggs and lightly beat until just combined, mix in bananas and vanilla.

  5. Gradually add flour mixture 1/3 at a time

  6. dilute baking soda in 1/4 cup water; then beat into batter

  7. Stir in, by hand, choc. chips

  8. pour batter in pan and bake at 325 for 52 minutes
