This home made white sauce uses no eggs, good with veggies and pasta.

Recipe Ingredients for White Sauce for pasta and veggies

1 tbsp all purpose flour
1 oz cheddar cheese, grated
2 tbsp skim milk powder
2 cups water
1 salt to taste
1 tsp pepper, red, dried, flakes

Recipe Directions for White Sauce for pasta and veggies

  1. Constitute milk using water and the skim milk powder. keep aside.

  2. heat wok, and saute the flour till it turns golden brown and stops smelling "raw".

  3. reduce flame, add the constituted skim milk slowly, and stir continously to make sure no lumps are formed.

  4. when the sauce starts to thicken, add the salt and cheddar cheese and stir well.

  5. add the chilli flakes.

  6. (add cooked pasta/veggies or both)
