This sauce can be used over fish or seafood as well in lieu of cole slaw dressing. My boyfriend makes this sauce the amounts are approximately as he does not really measure the ingredients. Everytime he makes it he may add a bit more hot sauce or more/less lemon/lime juice. The milk is to make the sauce more "runny".

Recipe Ingredients for White sauce for fish tacos

3 tbsp mayonaise
2 tbsp sour cream
1 tbsp hot sauce
1/2 tsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp lime juice
1/4 cup of skim milk

Recipe Directions for White sauce for fish tacos

  1. In a small bowl thoroughly mix mayo and sour cream.

  2. Mix in hot sauce - to taste.

  3. Mix in the lemon and lime juice a 1/4 tsp at a time, taste before adding more.

  4. Add milk until the sauce flows off the spoon.

  5. Sprinkle over grilled fish and enjoy!
