Makes 12 servings



White sandwhich bread with oat flour added for fiber. I milled my own oat flour, but you can buy it also.

Recipe Ingredients for White/Oat Bread

1 cup Oat Flour
2 cup Wheat Flour, White, All-purpose, Enriched, Unbleached
3 tsp Sugars, Granulated
1.25 tsp Salt, Table
2 tbsp Butter
1 cup (8 fl oz) Water
2.25 tsp Yeast

Recipe Directions for White/Oat Bread

  1. Mix yeast, flours, sugar, and salt together.

  2. Add warm water (105 degrees) and melted butter

  3. Mix together

  4. Knead for 10 mins. Let rise for 1 hour covered.

  5. Punch down shape into loaf. Pre-heat oven to 350

  6. Let rise 30 mins-1 hr. Bake about 30 mins or until loaf sounds hollow when tapped.
