White bean chicken chili. Very warm and filling!

Recipe Ingredients for White Chicken Chili

3 tablespoons olive oil
1 medium onion, finely chopped
4 oz. (1 can) chopped green chilies, drained
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 teaspoons ground cumin
15 4/5 oz (2 cans) (Bush's Great Northern Beans ,or Navy)
1 can (14.5 oz.) chicken broth
1 1/2 cups finely chopped cooked chicken breast

Recipe Directions for White Chicken Chili

  1. In large skillet, cook onion in oil for 4 minutes or until transparent.

  2. Add chilies, flour and cumin; cook and stir for 2 minutes.

  3. Add beans and chicken broth; bring to a boil.

  4. Reduce heat; simmer for 10 minutes or until thickened.

  5. Add chicken; cook until hot.

  6. *(Optional) Garnish with cheese, sour cream and salsa, if desired.
