This filling soup is even better the second day.

Recipe Ingredients for White Bean Soup

1 pound Navy Beans
10 cup Water
2 cups Ham
1 tsp,+crumbled Bay Leaf
1 teaspoon Pepper
1 count Large Onion, chopped
2 count Stalks Celery, minced
1 tablespoon Parsley, dried
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Oregano
1 teaspoon Marjoram
1 teaspoon Basil

Recipe Directions for White Bean Soup

Soak beans for at least 24 hours in six cups water. Rinse and drain. Place in large stock pot. Add 8 to 10 cups of water. Add all ingredients except ham. Simmer for 1 1/4 hours to 2 hours or until beans are almost tender. Add ham and cook another 30 minutes or until beans are completely cooked. Remove bay leaf and serve.
