Recipe Ingredients for White bean and cabbage soup

1 3/4 cups canned white kidney beans
4 cups chicken stock
2 cups shredded red cabbage
2 large carrots
1 medium onion
4 stalks celery

Recipe Directions for White bean and cabbage soup

  1. Chop the vegetables.

  2. Sauté the onion until translucent. Add the carrots, celery, and cabbage, and cook, stirring, for another few minutes.

  3. Add any herbs you would like: thyme, rosemary, oregano.

  4. Add the chicken stock and beans (drained and rinsed) and cook until hot.

  5. Cook longer if you like you veggies softer, less time if you like them a bit crisp.
