This is great to set out at a party or even just to share with friends over a bottle of wine. It is great served with hot french bread straight out of the oven. But crackers or crusty bread will also do fine!

Recipe Ingredients for Wheel of Goat Cheese with Marinade

200 g Goat, Soft Type Cheese
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
5 fresh basil leaves
1 tsp salt
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp pepper
1 clove garlic, crushed

Recipe Directions for Wheel of Goat Cheese with Marinade

  1. In a small bowl, mix together your olive oil, salt, pepper, garlic, sugar, and chopped basil leaves.

  2. Plate your wheel of goat cheese (with soft rind intact!) on any decorative dish or bowl you like; keep in mind, it should either be large enough to accommodate the marinade or have raised edges to keep it from sploshing out. :)

  3. Pour your marinade over the cheese, and cover by placing a large plastic bowl upside down over to allow plenty of room to breathe, but keeps pesky flies out! Allow cheese to sit out at room temperature at least 15 minutes before serving, but no more than an hour!

  4. Remove plastic bowl at serving, garnish with whole, fresh basil leaves and serve!
