Home made bread with whole wheat and flaxseed

Recipe Ingredients for Wheat Flaxseed bread

16 serving All Purpose Flour
4 serving Flour
0.5 cup Nonfat Dry Milk
16 oz Water
1 serving Natural Honey
1 tsp Salt
1 tbsp Butter
1 tbsp Yeast, Active Dry
4 tbsp Flaxseed Meal

Recipe Directions for Wheat Flaxseed bread

  1. Mix dry milk into 2 cups COLD water.

  2. Warm to about 100F (90 sec in microwave).

  3. Add honey, salt, and flaxseed meal to a largish bowl and stir in the milk mixture.

  4. Add butter and stir.

  5. Add yeast and stir.

  6. Add 2 cups of white flour and beat well into a thick battery consistency -- should be elastic enough to pull up threads with spoon.

  7. Add whole wheat flour and beat more.

  8. Add enough of the remaining white flour to make a good dough.

  9. Turn out on floured surface and knead until it gets velvety and stretch y -- dry enough that your hands don't stick much and it doesn't stick to the surface.

  10. Place in bowl sprayed with oil/PAM stuff.

  11. Cover let rise until double.

  12. Cut into pieces and form a loaf from each.

  13. Place loaves in greased bread pans and let rise until double.

  14. Place in pre-heated 375F oven with tops of pans in center of oven.

  15. Bake 30 minutes
