Dosas made of aata- for flavour add 1/4 cup onion, chopped small.

Recipe Ingredients for Wheat Dosa

1 oz. whole wheat flour
1 salt to taste
1/2 cup water
1/4 tsp red pepper, dried, powdered
1 tsp sunflower oil
1/2 tsp cumin

Recipe Directions for Wheat Dosa

  1. Mix whole wheat flour, salt, cummin seed, chilli powder with water.

  2. use more water if needed.

  3. the batter should be thickish. of pouring consistency.

  4. heat skillet, pour the batter on and using the back of a spatula, quickly spread the batter into a round shape like a pancake maintaining uniform thickness.

  5. pour the oil around the outer edges of the dosa.

  6. cook for a couple of minutes, flip over and cook till done.

  7. when the dosa is done, it should be possible to remove it easily from the skillet.
