Whole Wheat, Oatmeal and Bran, Low Fat

Recipe Ingredients for Wheat Bran/Oatmeal Buns

5 cups water
1 tablespoon yeast
1/8 cup sugar
3 cups white flour
7 cups whole wheat flour
1 cup wheat bran, natural
1/8 cup margarine
1/2 cup oatmeal
1/2 teaspoon salt

Recipe Directions for Wheat Bran/Oatmeal Buns

  1. Cook oatmeal in one cup water. Let Cool.

  2. In remaining water, add yeast and sugar. Let stand for 10 minutes. Add white flour, wheat bran, margarine , salt and oatmeal. Mix and let sit for 1/2 hour. Add remaining whole wheat flour until soft dough, knead for 10 minutes. Let rise until double. Make into buns. Let rise until double. Bake at 400 for 12 minutes.
