Recipe Ingredients for wheat berry pudding

1 cup Wheat Berries
3.1 cup Milk, Reduced Fat, Fluid, 2% Milkfat
2.5 cup (8 fl oz) Water
1 piece Cinnamon Sticks
1 grams Oranges
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
4 tbsp Organics 100% Pure Maple Syrup
4 tsp Sugar Light Brown

Recipe Directions for wheat berry pudding

  1. heat water and wheat berries, bring to a boil, reduce heat to low... cook until tender. about 45 mins...

  2. in a food processor add 2tbsp milk and wheat berries, puree until semi smooth but still leaving some chunks..

  3. in a large heavy bottom pot, heat 3 cups of milk, cinnamon stick, strips of orange zest (only using the zest of the orange!!) and wheat berries... heat until boiling, then cook on low until the mixture is nice and thick, about 25-30 mins...

  4. take the wheat berries off the heat, remove cinnamon stick and orange zest... stir in the brown sugar, maple syrup, and vanilla extract... mixture will thicken as it stands..

  5. you can add anything that you like to it, like jelly, additional syrup\brown sugar, dried or fresh fruit...
