Recipe Ingredients for West African Boiled Plantain

4 plantains, UNRIPE (green-yellow color)
4 cups water
1/4 tsp salt, table to taste

Recipe Directions for West African Boiled Plantain

  1. Peel the plantains: Cut off the ends and then cut into skin with a sharp knife. Cut each plantain into 3 or 4 chunks.

  2. Drop into medium-sized pot, add water and salt if desired. Boil 15 minutes or until tender.
