Recipe Ingredients for welsh cakes

1 lb. flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 pinch allspice
1 pinch salt
8 oz butter
7 oz sugar
4 oz raisins
2 large eggs
200 ml skimmed milk

Recipe Directions for welsh cakes

stir flour,baking powder,allspice and salt. Rub in the butter. Add in the sugar and raisins. Beat the eggs and add to the mixture with a little milk to make a fairly stiff dough. Roll out and cut into 2 inch rounds. Cook on a greased griddle on each side until golden brown. Sprinkle with sugar and serve warm.
