Not a low-calorie food...and that's a good thing if you need a little more "junk in the trunk"!:]

Recipe Ingredients for Weight Gainer's Tropical Oatmeal

40 g (1/2 cup) old fashioned oats, dry
7 g (1 tbsp) ground flaxseed
14 g (2 tbsp) wheat germ
126 g (1/2 cup) evaporated milk
120 g (1/2 cup) coconut milk
32 g (1/4 cup) powdered whole milk
32 g (2 tbsp) cream cheese
113 g (1/2 cup) very ripe, well-mashed banana
40 g (1/2 cup) shredded coconut
14 g (5 nuts) crushed macadamia nuts
1 g (1/2 tsp) ground cinnamon

Recipe Directions for Weight Gainer's Tropical Oatmeal

  1. Combine the evaporated milk, coconut milk and powdered milk with oats, wheat germ, and ground flaxseed in a medium saucepan.

  2. Cook for one minute over medium-high heat.

  3. Add mashed banana, cream cheese, coconut, macadamias, and cinnamon.

  4. Cook for 5-10 minutes, stirring ocassionally until the desired doneness has been reached.

  5. Allow the oatmeal to cool for a few minutes before eating...try to contain yourself!;] This is really good with some dried pineapple on the side.

  6. *NOTE: Adding more nuts, butter, coconut or powdered milk can increase the calories in this recipe even more! If you like your oatmeal thinner, I'd suggest adding more evaporated or coconut milk rather than using water--plenty of good old calcium!
