Recipe off the package of Jacob's Cattle Beans, vegetarian version. This is made with Jacob's Cattle Beans, which the recipe creator won't let me add for some reason.

Recipe Ingredients for Webster's Baked Beans

454 g Great Northern Beans, mature seed
2 tsp dried mustard
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup molasses
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
1 tsp vinegar
1 onion, medium

Recipe Directions for Webster's Baked Beans

  1. Soak beans overnight in water. Drain and rinse.

  2. Bring to boil in large pot with plenty of water and then simmer for about 30 minutes until tender.

  3. Drain and rinse.

  4. Combine rest of ingredients with 1/2 cup of water and stir well.

  5. Add to beans in a crockpot.

  6. Cook on high for 4 to 6 hours

  7. OR put in oven on 300 F for 4 to 6 hours adding water as needed.

  8. Makes about 6 cups.
