Weber's Big Book of Grilling, Kansas City Style Baby Back Rib Sauce

Recipe Ingredients for Weber Kansas City Rib Sauce

1 tbsp vegetable oil
1/4 cup finely chopped yellow onion
1 tsp minced garlic
3/4 cup ketchup
1/2 cup cider vinegar
1/4 cup brown sugar
3 tbs worcestershire sauce
1 1/2 tbsp yellow mustard
2 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/2 tsp tabasco sauce (or to taste)

Recipe Directions for Weber Kansas City Rib Sauce

  1. Cook the onions first in the oil stirring occasionally 4 or 5 minutes. Add garlic, and cook for about another minute then add all the other ingredients. Bring to a boil and then simmer for 15 minutes.

  2. Use 1/4 sauce for basting each 14 rib rack, save 1/4 sauce for dipping at table.

  3. Figure 1 serving is on each rib, and you might use another serving if you dip.
