Flank Steak marinated in Wasabi/Miso mixture served with Cilantro pesto

Recipe Ingredients for Wasabi and Miso Marinated Flank Steak w/ Cilantro pesto

16 oz Flank Steak
1/4 cup Miso
1/4 cup Mirin
1/4 cup Dry White Wine
1 tbsp Wasabi Powder
1 tbsp Rice Vinegar
3/4 cup Fresh Cilantro
1 tbsp Jalapeno Pepper
1/8 tsp Salt
1/8 tsp Black Pepper
1 clove Garlic
3 tbsp Fat Free Yogurt
1 tbsp Lime Juice

Recipe Directions for Wasabi and Miso Marinated Flank Steak w/ Cilantro pesto

  1. Combine Miso, Mirin, Dry White Wine, Wasabi Powder and Rice Vinegar in a small bowl, stir with whisk

  2. Place Steak and Miso mixture in a bag and let marinade in refrigerator for 2 hours

  3. Combine Clinatro, Seeded and chopped jalapeno, Salt, Pepper, Garlic Clove, Fat Free Yogurt and Lime Juice in a blender, Blend until smooth.

  4. Prepare Grill

  5. Remove steak from bag, reserve marinade. Place steak on grill. Grill about 6minutes per side, basting occasionaly with marinade until desiered doneness.

  6. Slice Steak into thin strips cutting across the grain. Serve in 3 ounce amounts with 1tbps of pesto on side.
