Out of 1.5 lbs of lean ground beef I made 9 cabbage rolls.

Recipe Ingredients for Warren's Cabbage Rolls

3 lb ground beef
2 med onions chopped fine
3 cloves garlic/1 tsp bottled minced garlic
1 1/2 c long grain white rice
2 tbs paprika
1 tsp cumin
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp ground pepper
1/2 tsp celery salt
1 c tomato juice
18 sour cabbage leaves

Recipe Directions for Warren's Cabbage Rolls

  1. Mix all ingredients together well. Roll in sour cabbage leaves or sweet leaves (different flavors). Makes about 28 cabbage rolls. To add flavor use cooking wine. Bake in a slow oven 300 degrees for 2 hours, covered with tomato juice or until all liquid is absorbed.

  2. NOTE>>>>> This recipe takes 2x48 oz cans of tomato juice. Make sure you have extra on hand so add to the cabbage rolls while they cook. Do NOT overcook.
