Recipe Ingredients for Warm Turnip Green Dip

1/4 lb. bacon
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tbsp. chopped garlic
1/4 c. dry white wine
16 oz. chopped turnip greens, thawed
12 oz. low fat cream cheese
8 oz. low fat sour cream
1/2 tsp. dried crushed red pepper
3/4 c. grated Parmesan

Recipe Directions for Warm Turnip Green Dip

  1. Cook bacon over medium-high heat 5-6 minutes or until crisp; remove and drain, reserving 1 tbsp. drippings; crumble and set aside.

  2. Sauté onion and garlic in drippings 3-4 minutes.

  3. Add wine, cook 1-2 minutes, stirring.

  4. Stir in turnip greens, next three ingredients, and 1/2 c. Parmesan.

  5. Cook, stirring often, 6-8 minutes.

  6. Transfer to lightly sprayed gratin pan/baking dish.

  7. Sprinkle with remaining 1/4 c. Parmesan.

  8. Broil 6-8 inches from heat 5-6 minutes or until lightly browned.

  9. Sprinkle evenly with crumbled bacon.
