Warm peaches in a sweet rum sauce

Recipe Ingredients for Warm Sweet Rum Peaches

6 ripe peaches
6 tablespoons unsalted butter
3/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup of rum

Recipe Directions for Warm Sweet Rum Peaches

  1. Cut each peach in half, then cut each half into 4 slices.

  2. Mix Sugar and rum in a small bowl.

  3. Melt the butter in a large skillet over medium heat. Reduce heat to medium-low, sprinkle the sugar mixture over the butter, and stir until dissolved, about 1 minute. Add the peaches, increase heat to medium-high, and cook, stirring frequently, until the peaches are softened and coated with a thin sauce, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand a few minutes.

  4. Spoon the peaches and sauce into bowls and serve with a dollop of whipped cream or over ice cream
