Sugar to milk is cake, butter to vanilla is icing plus jam

Recipe Ingredients for Victoria Sponge

170 g sugar
180 g butter
6 egg whites
200 g self-raising flour
1 tsp baking powder
2 tbsp milk, 1%
75 g butter
120 g icing Sugar
1/8 tsp vanilla
250 g strawberry jam, Barry Farm Foods

Recipe Directions for Victoria Sponge

  1. Sugar to milk is cake, combine and separate into two baking pans and bake at 350 F for 20 min. Cool for 20 min.

  2. Cream butter to vanilla, then blend until cream icing. Spread on one cake, top with jar of jam, top with other cake then dust with confectioners sugar.
