Not much of a diet food, trying to find a healthier way to make it. However the slow cook in water for 4 hours seems to get rid of most of the fat.

Recipe Ingredients for Very moist BBQ Country Style Ribs

2 1/2 lbs Country Style Pork Ribs
1/4 cup sea salt
1/4 cup splenda
2 tbs Paprika
2 tsp Cayenne Pepper
24 tbs Kraft BBQ Sauce Hickory Smoke

Recipe Directions for Very moist BBQ Country Style Ribs

  1. Put sea salt, Splenda, Paprika and Cayenne Pepper in a ziplock bag.

  2. Mix

  3. Add Pork ribs one at a time and shake to coat.

  4. Place ribs in a casserole dish and add warm water until they are covered 1/2 to 3/4 the way up. Cover with foil.

  5. Place in 200 degree oven for 2 hours.

  6. Turn the ribs over and recover - add water if it is too low. Bake an additional 2 hours.

  7. A good deal of the fat is now gone, and ribs are very tender. Remove from casserole dish, and dispose of water.

  8. Spray casserole dish with Pam. Then add a thin coating of BBQ sauce to the bottom of dish. Coat each rib and place back in dish, then pour a generous portion over the top of ribs.

  9. Place in oven at 450 degrees, uncovered for 30 minutes.
