Recipe Ingredients for vermicelli fredo Italian style

5 ounces original vermicelli
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp red pepper flakes
5 cloves garlic
1 tsp parsley
1/2 tsp Oregano
1/2 oz grated parmesan cheese

Recipe Directions for vermicelli fredo Italian style

  1. Boil 2 quarts water and cook pasta following package directions. Al dente is best. Add salt to water if desired.

  2. While water is boiling and pasta is cooking, dice the garlic. Heat the olive oil in a skillet and gently simmer garlic, red pepper, parsley and oregano over medium heat until garlic changes color. At that point, remove from heat.

  3. When pasta is done, drain as normal, and then toss with garlic and olive oil mixture.

  4. Top with Parmesan cheese if desired and serve.
