Recipe Ingredients for Venison and Vegetables

1 1/2 pounds venison
6 ounces fresh celery
4 ounces fresh carrots
4 ounces green bell pepper
6 ounces fresh broccoli
4 ounces canned mushrooms
3 ounces chopped onion
1 clove garlic
1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes
1 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon savory
4 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil
12 ounces light beer

Recipe Directions for Venison and Vegetables

  1. Heat half of the oil in skillet over medium heat

  2. Cube venison in 1 inch pieces

  3. Coat in flour

  4. Brown venison until golden

  5. Add beer and all spices and simmer uncovered, adding water as necessary

  6. Meanwhile heat the other half of the oil over medium high heat.

  7. Add onions garlic and celery. Stir fry until celery is tender.

  8. Add remaining vegetables and stir fry until broccoli is tender, but not soft.

  9. Serve over rice.
