A not too spicy chili that warms the heart and is hearty.

Recipe Ingredients for Venison Chili

1 lb ground venison
1 cup light red kidney beans
1 cup black beans
4 tbs chili powder
1 tbs cayenne
1 medium onion
32 oz tomato juice
16 oz diced tomatoes
1 tsp granulated sugar

Recipe Directions for Venison Chili

  1. Use dry beans, this creates a thicker chili without having to add thickener.

  2. Chop onions, coarsely and added when browning venison

  3. Brown venison, if very lean use a little olive oil.

  4. Add ingredients and simmer until done.
