Recipe Ingredients for Ven Pongal

1 cup of white rice
1/2 cup of mung beans
1 oz of cashew nuts
1 tbsp of salt
2 tsp of pepper
1 tbsp of ginger chopped
2 tsp of ghee
1 tsp of cumin seeds

Recipe Directions for Ven Pongal

Wash rice and moong dhal. Add 7 cups of water and ginger and salt. Pressure cook for 4 whitsles or 30 minutes in a rice cooker. Finally, season it in ghee using cumin seeds, pepper and curry leaves.
