Shrimp has feelings too, y'know. And I didn't have any okra on hand, so add if you want. I personally love the slimy.

Recipe Ingredients for Vegumbo

1 zucchini
1 medium onion
1 carrot
1 stalk celery
1/4 cup rice
1/2 cup white kidney beans
1 1/2 tbsp flour
2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
1 tsp garlic
1 gumbo file, cayenne pepper, mepper blend, cumin, bay leaf, other spices to taste
2 cups water

Recipe Directions for Vegumbo

  1. Chop vegetables to stewing size.

  2. Use the flour and olive oil to make a medium dark roux.

  3. Add green pepper, onion, garlic, carrot and celery. cook until tender ish.

  4. add water, rice, beans spices and bay leaf.

  5. Boil until rice is cooked.

  6. Consume, then wrestle an alligator.
