Recipe Ingredients for Veggie Turkey Joes

1 lb ground turkey
8 oz tomato paste
1 tbs worcestershire sauce
2 tbs brown sugar
1 red pepper
12 baby carrots
1 yellow onion
2 tbs Extra Virgin Olive Oil
8 whole wheat hamburger buns

Recipe Directions for Veggie Turkey Joes

  1. brown the diced carrots, red pepper, and onion in 2 TBS EVOO

  2. Add ground turkey and brown.

  3. Add worcestshire suace, tomato paste, brown sugar.

  4. Stir until well mixed.

  5. Simmer for approximately 15 minutes. serve on toasted whole wheat/whole grain hambuger buns

  6. Account for cheese if you add it.
