Very similar to the real thing, but without the ground beef.

Recipe Ingredients for Veggie Cincinnati Chili

4 cups broth
1 cup onion
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 teaspoon garlic
4 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon cumin
1 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon allspice
1/4 teaspoon cloves
1 teaspoon bay leaf
1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
16 oz. tomato sauce
24 oz. burger crumbles
1/2 oz. unsweetened chocolate

Recipe Directions for Veggie Cincinnati Chili

  1. Saute chopped onion and minced garlic in olive oil.

  2. Add broth (preferably veggie broth, but beef broth is okay.

  3. Add remaining ingredients with exception of burger crumbles.

  4. Simmer for 30 minutes.

  5. Add crumbles and simmer until cooked through.

  6. This can be eaten plain, but is typically served on pasta (don't forget to account for these calories). Can also top with raw chopped onions and reduced fat cheddar cheese (remember to add these calories).
