Tasty, dehydrated veggie-and-seed cakes with a mild flavor of the sea

Recipe Ingredients for Veggie Cakes

2 cups sunflower seeds
4 stalks celery
1/2 bunch scallions
1 1/2 tsp dulse flakes
6 tbsp lemon juice
1/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup Nama Shoyu
1/2 beet
2 garlic cloves

Recipe Directions for Veggie Cakes

  1. In a medium mixing bowl, combine the sunflower seeds, celery, green onions, and dulse flakes, and mix thoroughly.

  2. In a high speed blender, combine all of the remaining ingredients and blend until smooth.

  3. Add the contents of the blender to the dry ingredients in the mixing bowl, and mix well with a spatula or wooden spoon. With your hands, form the mixture into round patties approximately 3/4 inch think and 2 3/4 inches in diameter. Place the patties on a dehydrator tray and dehydrate at 100 degrees F for approximately 32 hours.
