Beans (white or whichever kind you choose) should be cooked and pureed. You can also substitute yellow rice for brown rice and stuffing mix instead of breadcrumbs. Season to taste.

Recipe Ingredients for Veggie burgers

1 cup (8-ounces) white beans, including some liquid
1 cup (8-ounces) brown rice
1/2 cup (4-ounces) uncooked oats or cornflakes
1 cup (8-ounces) breadcrumbs
1 tablespoon parsley
1/2 cup (4-ounces) chopped onion
1 tablespoon soy sauce

Recipe Directions for Veggie burgers

  1. Combine all ingredients

  2. Shape into patties

  3. Fry on low heat in olive oil until browned on each side

  4. Serve with your favorite toppings
