Recipe Ingredients for Veggie Burger - test 1

1/2 cup wild rice, black japonica
1 small tomato
1 tbsp pecan, toasted and chopped
1 tbsp carrot, grated
1/4 cup mushroom, chopped
1/4 cup onion, chopped
2 tbsp garlic, chopped
1/4 cup lentil, cooked
2 tsp almonds, toasted and chopped
1 tsp flax seed
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 dash salt
1 dash pepper

Recipe Directions for Veggie Burger - test 1

  1. cook rice and lentil, then drain

  2. saute onion and mushroom for a few minutes, then add garlic.

  3. toast pecans and almonds, then chop fine inthe Cuisinart.

  4. add all ingredients to Cuisinart and pulse until a fine, grainy meal is produced. If it's too wet, add some bread crumbs or chick pea flour. If too dry, add some more lentil and a little of the lentil water.

  5. form into patties and bake for 30-40 minutes at 425.

  6. let them cool and firm up, then reheat in a skillet.

  7. serve like a standard hamburger
