Recipe Ingredients for Veggie Burger

15 oz can black beans, rinsed & drained
1/2 c oats
1/2 c mushrooms, finely chopped
1/4 c red onion, finely chopped
1 carrot, shredded
1/2 c green bell pepper, chopped
1 clove garlic
6 tbsp egg white
1/4 lb lean ground beef

Recipe Directions for Veggie Burger

  1. Throw all ingredients in food processor or blender.

  2. Pulse or blend until coarsely chopped

  3. Chill mixture then shape into patties. (You can wrap & freeze them for later at this time.)

  4. To cook, thaw patties in microwave, then broil 4-6 in from heat for 10 - 15 minutes. You can do this in your broiler or on the grill.

  5. Serve like you would any burger.
