Veggie Bake Recipe

One of my many bread bakes. This is kind of like an open faced sandwich.

Recipe Ingredients for Veggie Bake

1/4 cup onions, thinly sliced
1/4 cup green pepper, thinly sliced
1/4 cup mushrooms, thinly sliced
1/4 cup banana peppers, thinly sliced
1 1/2 tsp oregano
2 slices provolone cheese
2 slices whole wheat bread
1 cooking spray

Recipe Directions for Veggie Bake

  1. Preheat oven to 425.

  2. Saute vegetables and oregano until desired consistancy.

  3. On nonstick baking sheet, divide mixture onto both slices of bread and top each with provolone cheese.

  4. Bake for 5-7 minutes, or until cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.

  5. Let cool for a couple of minutes.
