Recipe Ingredients for Vegetarian Sausage Gravy

1 tablespoon vegetable oil
198 g Gimme Lean Sausage Style
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
3 cups unsweetened soymilk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper

Recipe Directions for Vegetarian Sausage Gravy

  1. Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat. Add sausage; cook 3 minutes or until browned, stirring to crumble. Remove from heat; cool slightly. Crumble sausage into 1/2-inch pieces; return to pan.

  2. Lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring cup; level with a knife. Combine flour and soymilk, stirring with a whisk until smooth. Add milk mixture, salt, and freshly ground black pepper to pan; bring to a boil over medium-high heat. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer for 3 minutes or until thick. Serve immediately over biscuits.
