Classic pizza with artichoke hearts. The pizza dough recipe can also be used for french bread or formed into rolls or bread sticks. Vary the toppings to suit.

Recipe Ingredients for Vegetarian pizza

1 1/2 c. water
3 c. unbleached flour
1 T. yeast
1 tsp. salt
15 oz. tomato sauce
3 T. olive oil, divided
2 cloves garlic
1 tsp. oregano
1 tsp. basil
1/4 c. Parmesan cheese
15 oz. artichoke hearts, water packed, drained
8 oz. mozarella cheese

Recipe Directions for Vegetarian pizza

  1. Mix first 4 ingredients and knead until smooth. Let rise until doubled in bulk.

  2. Pat and stretch to fit large pizza pan or cookie sheet which has been oiled with 1 T. of the olive oil.

  3. Layer the top with the remaining ingredients. Enjoy!
