You can use any combination of vegetables. Squash, sugar snap peas, bell peppers, and mushrooms are another possible choice. For the salt, I used Jane's Crazy Mixed Up Salt, and omitted the garlic powder.

Recipe Ingredients for VEGETABLES: Sauteed Veggies

1 cup broccoli florets
1 cup carrots, sliced
1 cup red onion, sliced
1/2 cup snow peas
1 tbsp canola oil
1/2 tsp garlic powder
1/4 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for VEGETABLES: Sauteed Veggies

  1. Cut or slice vegetables into bite-size pieces.

  2. Heat oil over medium high heat in a non-stick skillet. When hot, add vegetables all at once.

  3. Cook, stirring, until almost done to your liking.

  4. Add garlic powder, pepper, and salt. Cook a couple more minutes to meld flavors.

  5. Optional: Add 1/4 cup white wine with the seasonings, cover and steam for 2 minutes before serving.
