1 pound okra
2 tablespoons corn meal
2 tablespoons flour
4 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper

Recipe Directions for Vegetables Okra Fried

  1. Combine meal, flour, salt and pepper in large mixing bowl and mix well.

  2. Cut across okra pods in 1/2 inch lengths and place in bowl with the above mix.

  3. In a large skillet bring the vegetale oil to smoke point and dump the okra into skillet and cook until browned and crisp.
