Based upon my Pop's recipe for beef stew, only vegetarian.

Recipe Ingredients for Vegetable Stew

1 cup rutabaga
1 cup parsnip
1 medium turnip
3 medium carrots
1 medium onion
5 potatoes
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp pepper
2 cups green beans
2 quarts water
1 tsp celery seed

Recipe Directions for Vegetable Stew

  1. Cut all the vegetables up.

  2. Add to the water with seasonings.

  3. Simmer until tender.
