I used the calorie count on each can and calculated total calories to compare with CC. It only came to 942 calories for the entire recipe by following the count on each can and adding in broth and onion. CC says 1,056. You decide, and divide by number of servings.

Recipe Ingredients for Vegetable Soup

14 1/2 ounce cooked green beans, with liquid
14 1/2 ounce can tomatoes, with liquid
15 ounce mixed vegetables, with liquid
15 1/4 ounce can corn, with liquid
1 cup fat free refried beans
1 t. olive oil
1 small onion, caramelized
32 ounces turkey broth, homemade
4 ounces water
1 t. salt

Recipe Directions for Vegetable Soup

  1. Pour all of the canned vegetables in a crockpot with liquids.

  2. Caramelize onion in 1 t. of olive oil.

  3. Add onion and broth to crock pot.

  4. Cook on low all day, or high for 4 or 5 hours.

  5. Add salt if desired.
