This is my version, slightly different, of a low salt soup, which is supposed to draw excess salt and toxins from your body. Have once or twice a day, along with other simple detox foods, for two or three days.

Recipe Ingredients for Vegetable Soup - Detox Soup

2 tsp of grapeseed oil
2 garlic cloves, chopped fine
1 jalapeno pepper, seeded, chopped
1 sweet onion, chopped fine
1 leek, chopped fine
2 cups of soup stock, vegetable, low salt, organic
420 g tomatos, canned, chopped, low salt
2 tbsp tomato paste
2 carrot, peeled, diced
500 g butternut squash, peeled, chopped fine
2 stalks of celery, chopped
2 cups broccoli, steamed
1 cup water

Recipe Directions for Vegetable Soup - Detox Soup

  1. Heat the olive oil in a skillet.

  2. Saute garlic, then add onion, then add chopped jalapeo.

  3. Add the carrots and celery and heat through.

  4. In a large saucepan, gently heat the stock, tomatoes, tomato paste.

  5. Add the veggies from the skillet.

  6. Add the broccoli which is already steamed.

  7. Cook until all is soft, and desired consistency.

  8. Mash if desired.

  9. Add other herbs / spices if desired.

  10. Enjoy this guilt-free meal!
