These are the base ingredients for soup. Add the meat of your choice (pre-cooked).

Recipe Ingredients for Vegetable Soup base

4 potatoes, chopped bite size
3 cups diced tomatoes
2 carrots, sliced
1 cup chopped onion
1 c green beans
8 cups water
4 cloves garlic

Recipe Directions for Vegetable Soup base

  1. Put water in large pot.

  2. Add peeled potatoes, chopped into bite-size chunks.

  3. Add 1 large can (28 oz) diced, peeled tomatoes in juice.

  4. Add peeled carrots, sliceed into bite-size pieces.

  5. Dice half an onion and add to pot.

  6. Add a handfull of frozen petite whole green beans.

  7. Season to taste with salt, pepper, rosemary, etc.

  8. Optional--Add the meat of your choice (pre-cooked and diced).

  9. Simmer for about two hours.
