Basic Veggies and rice. Add 6 oz of meat if desired.

Recipe Ingredients for Vegetable Rice

3 cups rice
1 cup mixed vegetables

Recipe Directions for Vegetable Rice

  1. in a saucepan, add 1 cup mixed vegetables to 1 cup water.

  2. Add a bullion cube, OR salt, if desired.

  3. Bring vegetables to a boil.

  4. Measure 3 cups of long grain rice.

  5. Wash and rinse the rice 3-4 times; drain with a screen.

  6. Add washed rice to large saucepan.

  7. Pour contents of the vegetable pot into the rice pot.

  8. Add additional water as necessary.

  9. Bring uncovered rice to a rolling boil.

  10. Reduce heat to medium and cover rice.

  11. Cook for approx 15-20 minutes-until water is evaporated.

  12. Stop cooking process by dipping the bottom of the rice pot into a pan of cool water for 20 seconds.

  13. Rice is ready to serve
