When you want something heartier than a zucchini gratin, and something more nutritious than a potato gratin. This recipe is very customizable.

Recipe Ingredients for Vegetable Gratin

2 servings (40 g) Grissol Multigrain Melba Toast
100 g carrots
20 g celery
160 g zucchini
1 tsp olive oil
210 g Russet Potato
1 serving Dairyland 1% milk
60 g onion
1/2 tsp ground pepper
2 tbsp. all purpose flour
2 servings (60 g) Best Buy 18% Mozzarella Cheese or any other cheese you prefer

Recipe Directions for Vegetable Gratin

  1. Prep your vegetables. Cut into thin slices, like crisps.

  2. In a pan, sautée your onions in olive oil until tender but not brown.

  3. Then, add your sliced vegetables. Cover pan with a lid.

  4. When vegetables are tender, about ten minutes, add pepper and salt to taste.

  5. Add hot milk into the pan. Add flour and mix quickly.

  6. When sauce is thick, add cheese. Let cheese melt and mix again.

  7. Transfer everything into a baking dish.

  8. Using crushed Melba toast (or bread crumbs) top your mixture in the baking dish.

  9. Put into an oven at 375 C for 45 minutes, or until brown and boiling.

  10. Let cool, but serve warm.

  11. Serves 5
