Recipe Ingredients for VEGETABLE: Braised Red Cabbage and Apples

10 cup red cabbage (i.e. 1 small head)
2 cloves of garlic
1 small onion, chopped
2 green apples, chopped up
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar
2 tbsp of honey
1/4 cup of feta
1 tbsp of butter
1 Salt and pepper to taste

Recipe Directions for VEGETABLE: Braised Red Cabbage and Apples

  1. Melt butter in a large sauté pan over medium high heat. Add onions and garlic and sauté about 6-8 minutes or until the onions are cooked down and browning a bit.

  2. Stir in apples, cabbage, vinegar and honey. Combine everything and season with salt and pepper. Cover the pan and cook over a medium low heat for about 45 minutes or so, stirring occasionally.

  3. When you are ready to serve your cabbage, top each serving with a tablespoon of crumbled goat cheese?enjoy!

  4. Serves 4.
